I graduated in Economics and Statistics at the University of Florence (GPA 3.70) with a thesis on multivariate ARCH models. Later, I took a certificate in European Studies at the University of Florence. I hold a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Bologna. My Ph.D. thesis was about credit risk models in banks and the Basel Accords. I also hold a certificate in Software Engineering from Harvard Extension School (GPA 3.58). I privately tutored high school students in mathematics and financial mathematics as well as economics and political science college students in statistics during 1998-1999 at Centro Studi AEFFE (Calenzano, Italy). I also privately tutored economics and political science college students in statistics during 1998-1999 at Studio Sistema (Florence). Furthermore, I privately tutored economics, political science, sociology and psychology college students in statistics during 2003-2007 at Cesd (3000 employees, Florence). I have published in international economics journals (such as International Journal of Economics and Financial Issues, The Journal of Energy and Development, Energy Policy and The Journal of Finance and Economics) and in medical journals (such as Arthritis and Care Research and Clinical Cases in Mineral and Bone Metabolism).
